Process
Woodblocks are machine carved and then sanded to prepare the surface to be sealed with a layer of schallac




The textures carved on the woodblock are inked and a relief print is then taken from the block to make the artwork.
The two transitions above show the print and the relevant woodblock used to create the image.
The paper is hand burnished and a relief image is pulled from the woodblock.


This is my second Shoba, I love how detailed his woodcut prints are! A very talented man indeed!

Wonderful, the effort and skill involved is amazing. It sits as a centre-piece above the dining room table as a calming influence. So good i got the avacado too!
